We have all heard the term “survival of the fittest” in the context of the animal kingdom however I want to share with you how this applies to your everyday life, and your survival in these economic times. What I will be sharing with you is not to give you permission to break the laws of the land, or to do something unlawful, but to give you the steps that you will need to help guide you along your path to your God given destiny. I will help to guide you to your Promised Land of Provision and Prosperity in these uncertain times. I will share with you what I believe to be a very serious biblical truth that has not been effectively taught and often times mis-taught in our Christianize lingo where we couldn’t put it into practical application or use in our own lives, it just seemed to be some Pie in the Sky wishful thinking. Walk with me if you will through this extraordinary journey into how to survive and be extremely blessed and prosperous in these uncertain times, and how to achieve your dreams, and your God given destiny in the process. This will be a multiple part blog, so keep up with us weekly, as we begin to lay out this awesome truth for you to walk in directly from the Word of God. You are fit for the task set before you, you just have to realize it and believe it!
Let’s look at the verse of scripture from Numbers 13:32-33, in this passage is where the 10 spies of the Children of Israel came back and all but 2 of them gave the report that they couldn’t prosper in the land that God had given them because the giants (problems and obstacles) were so huge, and they saw themselves as grasshoppers in their (the Giants’, “challenges”) sight. Lesson: Challenges are opportunities for God to show himself faithful to what he has called you to do. First, we learn that however you see yourself that is what you are. First rule, No matter who tries to tell you differently, your own perception of yourself is what makes or breaks you. Your own perception of your well-being will either cause you to prosper, or to fail. This is what the Children of Israel were dealing with, their own mental perception that they couldn’t overcome, so they had to die out so the two spies that knew they could take the land could continue on into their Promise Land of Provision. If God has told you or directed you to do something, either with a voice or a true desire, it can’t fail, unless you first fail within your own estimate of yourself and/or the situation around you. You must be fit within your own mind before you can conquer and take what is rightfully yours! Now on to your God given strength and ability.
Where does your strength come from? Within your own power, or somewhere else? Scripture tells us that the Joy of the Lord is our Strength (Nehemiah 8:10) Now if you will read Nehemiah chapter 8, you will find that Ezra told the people that the joy of the Lord was their strength because after hearing the Law of Moses, they were convicted within their own hearts and minds, and were weeping because the Law only brings guilt and condemnation. The Joy of the Lord is our strength, guilt paralyzes us to inactivity; hope, which is The Joy of the Lord, is freeing. Do you live in guilt and condemnation, or do you believe that Jesus has set you free from the guilt of your past? Jesus came and suffered for ALL your wrongs, and has set your free to walk into your God given destiny. What is the Joy of the Lord, Psalm 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad who favor my righteous cause; and let them say continually “Let the Lord be magnified”, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servants. It’s you who decides whether you remain in your guilt and sorrow, or begin this day to walk out our destiny in your God given freedom in the Joy of the Lord! Like Ezra, I am telling you this day to go and eat the fat and drink the sweet, and give to others that don’t have anything prepared, Do Not be sad and sorrowful because the Joy of the Lord is your strength!
Now you may be asking how do I begin to walk out my journey to fulfill my God given destiny? Short answer, One step at a time! What has God placed within your heart to do, start a business, start a ministry, start a hobby or craft, or do you just have a desire to help others, whatever God has told you to do, take the advise that Mary the Mother of Jesus gave to the servants at the wedding feast that day, John 2:5, “Whatever He says to you Just Do It” one step at a time, and remember the Joy of the Lord is your strength. The First step is to make the decision that you will do what He has told you to do, and stick with the process. The hardest step to take is the first one, don’t look at the entire path, just take the first step toward what He has told you to do, and God will direct your steps Proverbs 16:9 and bring you into your Land of Promise and Provision, but you have to take the first step in that direction of eating the fat and drinking the sweet (Enjoying the freedom and provision that you have been given), and giving to others for this is the Day that the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24)!!! This multi-part blog will be your guide on your path into your Promise Land of Provision and Prosperity.
