Build a Bridge and Get Over It People…The LBGT community Deserves Equal Status inside and outside the Church!

Build a Bridge and Get Over It People…The LBGT community Deserves Equal Status inside and outside the Church!

While what I am about to say may cause some virtual stoning (Social Unfriending, verbal abuse, and even heresy accusations) I must provide my public stance on our current events.

1. The Pope said recently that everyone that works in the weapons industry “can’t call themselves Christians.”

That’s funny; my bible says that God created the smith that builds the fire and the one that creates the instrument wielded against you.
The Bible says: Isaiah 54:16-17 “Behold, I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire, and that brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of Me,” saith the LORD.

2. LBGT Members are Now Allowed to Marry. THANK GOD! Now maybe the Church will learn how to walk and talk by the Spirit instead of their OPINIONS (Flesh). I know MANY LBGT members who have more of the Spirit of God in them than many Professing Christians!

The bible says: 14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. “…But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no man.” 1 Corinthians 2

I remember a time when many in our community hated the black family that moved into our little town.

I have watched, listened and attended an interracial marriage that was prohibited by the couple’s pastor.

I have seen and heard the pain of a high school alum was ostracized in our little town because of her sexual preferences.

I grew up in a time where colored Ministers were shot down because of what they Preached, and there were ALL sorts of “names” for every Race not only the “n” word.

I have listened and learned from a mom of a gay young man what it truly means to love a son who is different than the so called “norm” and the process that Faith in God has done to restore the family, and they all can truly say, “I wish they were allowed to marry, because I don’t want my son to grow old and not have someone to grow old with.”

3. Love doesn’t mean that you love everything or believe everything that someone else says or does.
Love means loving people enough to allow them to be themselves!

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 4:21
21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God loves his brother also.

4. My only question before I will officiate a wedding ceremony is: “Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and have you accepted Him as Lord over your life?”

With that being said, As an Ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I can’t perform a same-sex marriage because I can’t tolerate seeing a man kissing a man or a woman kissing a woman. That’s on me!!! That’s my issue, and shouldn’t prevent them from being married.

I simply can’t do it because I make a terrible face when I see same-sex couples in public displays of affection or RUNNY, over easy EGGS, and is probably not the face of joy that couples want to see on their wedding day.

Yes it is a NEW DAY, and I wish all those that were finally allowed to MARRY, MANY, MANY Marriage blessings to you, and may God’s Face continue to shine brightly upon you! Congratulations to you all, and I wish you many years of wedded bliss.

5.Thing is that many have forgotten that Jesus said “it is finished” meaning the fulfillment of ALL LAW HAS BEEN FULFILLED!

However some still want to believe in a Gotcha God instead of a Loving God…we have seen the same thing before Blue and pink hair was allowed, interracial marriages…the list goes on and on…We all have our “Issues – Sin”, but we somehow want others to pay for theirs but we don’t want to discuss our own little foxes. Jesus Paid for it all, Why can’t we understand that!

And in the Words of my Beloved 101 year old Mother-In-Law…”I may not like what you are doing but I will fight to the death your right to do it!”

I invite you to read my two second edition books that are currently available:

Weekly Book Review January 16, 2015

Weekly Book Review
January 16, 2015
By: Cammy Walters
Each week I am choosing to read the work of one new, unknown author, and provide the best possible review of their work that I can. I am doing this for no other reason than I hope to help encourage writers everywhere to write what they feel, what they know about. Through my weekly book reviews I will hopefully teach others to listen with the ears of God to what message the author is truly trying to share with their audience, and find a way to help broadcast their message and their work.
This week’s book, “Fade to Gray” by S.A. Molteni, I believe was what I call a Golden God Nugget in my path this week. Why do I say that you ask, because, the bible tells us:
Proverbs 16:31 (CEB)
31 Gray hair is a crown of glory;
it is found on the path of righteousness.
The Author, S.A. Molteni, demonstrates the struggles that we all go through life when we try to improve or ‘fix’ what we think should be fix as we age. All the while, God designed us perfectly, and gives us a crown of glory that is displayed for the world to see.

This is so typical of the human race, to want to hide what God is doing in and through their lives. Three Cheers to this author, for writing not a work of Flash Fiction, but a work of pure honesty and from a heart of love, that comes straight from the heart of God the Father, with a life lesson that we should all learn from.
While this is a short, but very humorous look, at something I, myself, have experienced, but my experience didn’t turn out quite like hers did, I was left with Golden highlights from the CarrotTop effect…so I completely get the frustration and the lesson all too well.

Thank you S.A. Molteni for giving us a humorous take on our aging process, and a lesson that we all should have learned WAY before we reached our current Gray Hair and All. Blessings!
